13 June – Stars of Cinema – Troisi Award

The stars of Cinema arrive at the Marina di Capo d’Orlando, which this year will host the preview evening of the XIII edition of the Marefestival Salina Premio Troisi (14/16 June on the Aeolian island): appointment on Thursday 13 June at 6.30 pm in the meeting room of the Sestante Marina Motel, inside the port, for the opening press conference, in the presence of the president of the Board of Directors, the architect Giuseppe Mangano, the godmother Maria Grazia Cucinotta, the actresses Barbara Bouchet and Francesca Inaudi, the producer Corrado Azzollini, Troisi Awards 2024, the artistic director, the journalist Massimiliano Cavaleri and the presenter, the journalist Nadia La Malfa.

“With great pleasure and enthusiasm we will welcome the preview of such a prestigious festival full of guests and content – explains President Mangano – the Troisi Prize is one of the most awaited events in the Aeolian archipelago and for our yachtsmen, as well as for the people of Orlandini, it will be particularly interesting to participate and get to know this event up close”.

Barbara Bouchet, one of the most popular actresses of the first generation of the so-called Italian sexy comedy, which had great resonance between the late 70s and early 80s, has shot over 80 films and many television dramas, always remaining an icon of beauty and style; her most recent interpretation is in the role of Countess Wiendemar in “Diabolik – who are you?” (2023), signed by the Manetti Bros.

Francesca Inaudi began at the Piccolo Teatro in Milan directed by Giorgio Strehler and Luca Ronconi, in 2004 she made her film debut and since then she has starred in numerous films directed by important directors including Cristina Comencini, Paolo Virzì, Mario Martone and is present in international productions; in 2023 Liliana Cavani wants her among the protagonists of “The Order of Time”.


The evening, with free admission, will continue at 7.30 pm on the Sextante Terrace, where the presentation of the historical novel “Il Grano nero” will be held, published by Scatola Parlanti (2024) and signed by Ignazio Rosato, TV author, screenwriter and writer: the correspondent of the Italia Uno program “Le Iene” Fabio Agnello will dialogue with him.

At 8.30 p.m. the screening of the comedy-drama “Lambs can graze in peace” (Draka Production, Italy 2024) by Beppe Cino, which invites us to reflect on the theme of “borders”, with Maria Grazia Cucinotta, Massimo Venturiello, Tiziana Schiavarelli and Umberto Sardella. After the film and the debate with the protagonist and the producer, the show presented by Cavaleri and La Malfa will begin with interviews with guests and the presentation of the Troisi Prize to Corrado Azzolini, who will talk about his next ambitious projects.

Finally, the Panathlon Special Prize “Sport illuminates the film of life” that Ludovico Magaudda, deputy governor of Area 9 Sicily of Panathlon International, and Nino La Rosa, President of the Club of Messina, will deliver to Marzia and Gianni Raineri. The welcome cocktail will be offered by Barbera Oils, Polara Drinks and Mangiatorella Water.

The Troisi Prize is organized by journalists Massimiliano Cavaleri and Patrizia Casale together with Francesco Cappello, Giovanni Pontillo and Nadia La Malfa; scenography and image by Tina Berenato.
