Capo d’Orlando Marina hosts the naming ceremony of the sailboat “La Donna Blù” to Sara Campanella

A symbolic gesture to remember, educate and promote the value of respect

On Saturday 22 November 2025, at 11:00 am, Capo d’Orlando Marina will host the naming ceremony of the sailboat “La Donna Blù” to Sara Campanella, a young university student who tragically passed away due to an act of violence.

The initiative is promoted by the Italian Naval League – Section of Sant’Agata di Militello, on the occasion of the International Day for the Elimination of Violence against Women, as a moment of shared memory and civil commitment.

The ceremony will be attended by Sara’s family, the members of the Italian Naval League, the local schools, the nautical scouts, the National Association of Magistrates, the third sector associations engaged in anti-violence campaigns and the local authorities.
An event that aims to transform memory into a sign of responsibility and social awareness.

“The sea as a safe haven”: a message that unites

The naming of the boat is part of the national campaign “Cima Rossa” of the National Presidency of the Italian Naval League, which focuses on the values of respect, listening, inclusion and solidarity.

The guiding message of the 2025 edition — “Naval League, safe harbor against all kinds of violence” — recalls the commitment of the LNI sections to promote awareness-raising activities in the area, in synergy with schools, institutions, law enforcement and anti-violence centers.

The symbol of the red peak represents the desire to “extend a peak” to those who experience fragility and difficulty, promoting a culture based on mutual respect and the protection of the dignity of every person.

A name that will continue to sail

During the ceremony, the plaque dedicated to Sara Campanella will be unveiled:
“I LOVE MYSELF TOO MUCH TO BE WITH ANYONE – Sara Campanella”,
affixed to the social boat La Donna Blù, used by the Naval League for educational activities and initiatives related to the culture of the sea, legality and solidarity.

With this gesture, Sara’s name will symbolically accompany the activities of the Section, as a sign of memory, commitment and rebirth, so that her story continues to speak and raise awareness among the new generations.
